Give me that old fashioned love, and fresh flowers any day, slow dancing in the kitchen... A poem straight from the heart. Written by Jayne Rone

Give me that old fashioned love
And fresh flowers any day
Slow dancing in the kitchen
As dinner goes
Long walks and tea drunk from the same cup
Old movies and candle lit nights
Cold evenings wrapped in your lingering scent

Give me that old fashioned love
That burns slow, sure and steady
The good vintage kind of love
Complex, balanced and intense
Passion the colour of saffron
Deep red and fragrant
Set alight and releasing flecks of gold
Into my heart

Give me that old fashioned love
Lead and I will follow
Take my hand in yours always
I want the thrill of you
And you alone
Partners in love and in life
Until the east wind tears us apart
