Teambooktu: The Webcitadel is a blog site for the Creative Arts.
Like the ancient city of Timbuktu which had a rich writing tradition, produced millions of manuscripts, and possessed personal libraries with thousands of books, Teambooktu has a focus on short stories and literary works written by African and Diasporan literati as well as submissions from the farthest corners of the earth (an ancient description for Timbuktu). We are an open forum: our key binder is a common love for the Arts.
We delve into the nine arts namely: architecture, sculpture, visual arts, music, literature/poetry, theatre/drama, film, photography and cartoons/comics- and general discourse in these areas.
Teambooktu was established by two old friends with a mutual love for the creative arts. Claude Opara is an author, artist and architect while Ifeanyichukwu Avajah is a poet, visual artist and engineer. Both currently reside in Lagos, Nigeria.
