Now You See Me: Now You Don't poster

The ReelDeal is back with our watchlist for November! Hollywood is set for the Thanksgiving/Yuletide season! (Wonder how Nollywood is gearing up for Detty December?) Anywho, some exciting movies are coming up this November. Franchises and remakes are still in. Here are some we recommend for our dear Webcitizens!

The latest in the Predator franchise. Set in the future on a remote planet, a young outcast Predator called Dek tags with a damaged synthezoid, Thia, in a battle for survival and in search of the ultimate adversary.

Elle Fanning, Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, Dan Trachtenberg (Director)

We’re excited about this third installment in the Now You See Me series. The Four Horsemen Four—J. Daniel Atlas, an illusionist, Merritt McKinney, a mentalist, Henley Reeves, an escape artist, and Jack Wilder, a card shark/pickpocket, join forces with three skilled illusionists for another high-stakes heist from a powerful family crime syndicate. Interesting characters by Edward Ricourt and Boaz Yakin- sort of like the magical Ocean 11- with the same witty, humorous dialogue. If you liked the previous installments, this looks no less entertaining!

  • Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, Rosamund Pike, Morgan Freeman

Also coming out on November 14th is another kind of showman. Set in a dystopianish future, The Running Man is a top-rated television show where contestants, called Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins. This blood sport is broadcast live on TV (think gladiatorial battles, well, sort of) in the future. Each day a Runner survives, the higher the cash reward is with any runner who can stay alive for 30 days winning the grand prize of $1 billion. Based on a 1982 novel by Stephen King (under his pseudonym Richard Bachman), this is the second adaptation of the novel, following the 1987 film by Arnold Schwarzenneger. well, Glen Powell is not as bulked up as Arnie, so this must have its perks as a Runner (lol).

Glen Powell, William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Emilia Jones, Michael Cera, Daniel Ezra, Jayme Lawson, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin. Edgar Wright (Director)

An upcoming sequel of a popular Hollywood musical fantasy film , Wicked (2024). An adaptation of the second act of the 2003 stage musical by Stephen Schwartz and Holzman.. It is a reimagining of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz story. Set in the Land of Oz it is the story of the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good. Where are the Ariana Grande fans out there? If you love you some Broadway…

Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, and Jeff Goldblum,  Jon M. Chu (Director)

So how about some good ol’ 3D animation for light-hearted, innocent humour this November? Great fun for the kids too. This sequel has the rabbit and fox (Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde) in hot pursuit of Gary De’Snake- Zootopia’s new and mysterious reptilian resident- and discovering a community unknown to them previously.

Voice artists: Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Strathairn, Idris Elba, Shakira, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson. Jared Bush, Byron Howard (Directors)

So you’ve got enough variety to pick from this month: Action, Animation, Suspense, Sci-Fi, Musicals… Let us know what you think in the comments section about any of these movies on our Watchlist. We’d love to hear!
