mother and child
The love of a child is pure and true. Their trust renewed each new day. Poem by Kalthume Akubo

The love of a child is pure and true.
Like the sparkle and childlike innocence,
we see through the gleam in their eyes,
The love in a child’s heart is truly untainted.

The love of a child is pure and true.
Free from pride and prejudice.
Unburdened by the affairs of life.
For in their laughter, we hear the sweetest note.
Bubbling from a heart with untainted love.

The love of a child is pure and true.
Their trust renewed each new day.
Forgetting the reprimands from days past,
They hold us dear in their large hearts and hands.
Where every act is borne out of love unfeigned and untainted.

The love of a child is pure and true.
As they journey through life and grow through the years, this love evolves with time, but its essence and purity remain forever true.
This untainted love is indeed a treasure for life.
