Golden, The brown roofs. The ancient city of Ibadan has it's means of identification. Everyone who has been to the city knows that there's one thing that's seen around everywhere in the city, it's the brown roofs. This brown roofs have now become a symbol of identification to the city. They were once very shiny metals but now they are rusty yet they now form something big in a bigger city. They are Golden!
The voyager
The waterway is one of the oldest means of transportation as it dates back to time immemorial. The canoe is the oldest means built before the advent of advanced technology. Looking at these beauties reminds man of where we’ve come from and what we can achieve.
The night shot
I went to wait for a friend at the University of Ibadan first gate one night, I saw this beautiful image and I couldn’t help but take the shot. Because bad rumours were said about you doesn’t mean your beauty or your worth won’t be visible to those who really look deep at you and avoid the distractions around you.
Slow and Steady
The tortoise is one of the oldest and longest living lifespan creatures in the world, they are slow but they take things steady. They can live as long as a hundred years and more. It can take minutes or hours for them to cover a short distance but they surely would get there. Life is short but things are not meant to be taken in a rush.

Damilola Matthew Adekoya
Damilola Matthew Adekoya studied Theatre Arts and has been practising film-making and photography for six years now, going professional in 2021. He started with landscape photography as he has an eye for good landscape images. He has gone on to take landscape images in Ibadan, Abeokuta, Akure, Lagos, Ebonyi and is looking to visit other states in Nigeria and beyond. He is a budding photographer whose passion for photography has earned him reviews from notable photographers home and abroad. Damilola plans to go into documentary photography as that is where his interest lies. He is working very hard to be among the greats in the field and thus is leaving no stones unturned. Damilola is also into event and concert photography as that gives him the liberty to capture moments. He is also the 1st Runner-up in our first Nature Photochallenge!
Slow and steady shows a busy part of town at rest. Even the leafless tree appears to be at rest. It is picture of tranquility before madness, reminding us all to take a break. The colour and contrast is beautifully aurorean.
