In the land where fervent eventide burst,
Where the clangor reflect and rhythms durst,
A drapery of tincture energetic and hardy,
Africa’s surprise forever frowns at tardy.
From the pasturage where tycoons ramble free,
To the vigorous rivers flowing invariably,
The continent boogies to its own beat,
A correlation of cultures rich and replete.
In the arid region roseate mound so immense,
Antique stories muttered by the gale’s gentle intense,
Where Imazighen cavalcade tread old paths,
The desert’s splendor never fails to attract.
From the monuments that touch the sky,
To the sequoia where wildebeests ply,
The attractions of Africa are proudly displayed,
In every uncommon corner of this sacrosanct terrain.
The fragrance of spices fills the buzzing marketplaces,
As traders haggle with smiles on their faces,
A feast for the perception with flavors of every kind,
Kindling an affection that will forever bind.
But Africa is over and above just its land,
It’s the flexible spirit that makes us stand,
Harmonious as one, we cuddle our past,
Extolling the variety that will perpetually last.
So let us rejoice in the amazement of being African,
Connecting our creation, our attainment, our history,
For Africa’s heart beats in every living soul,
A bequest of dignity forever to behold.
