African kids with a globe
A lovely poem that paints the blissful ignorance of childhood, the passing of time and ponders the continuity of life. Emmanuel Imemba

A life that lived it’s best in the icy thrones of freedom
Journeying through the winding paths
And we laughed and danced and kissed the sands.
Muddy hands yielding not the fortunes of Solomon,
But joy and laughter that made emperors cry!

To every dropping rain, we were children
Held by lethal hands and were cuddled every moment
Mom and dad, we called them and with them we felt loved!

But nature must take it’s proper cause,
And men from boys will grow!
And time will pass just like billows roll
Bearing away every moment when our minds were beautiful rooms
And to that we pray….

That we will one day, raise our own beautiful rooms.
And they will tell the story that the world lived.
And break theoretical boundaries where survival is not about the fittest!
