The sky, blue, and above me.
I, moving with the wind.
flying free without dreadful eyes.
Hope, resilience, freedom, goal—
Gear toward them, just like the mighty phoenix, who burns to ash and raise from its ashes.
True bliss comes from the reinvention of the self,
Although, zero expectations I hold,
I have faith in the light to arrive.
I am not afraid anymore,
To stumble upon ashes of shattered dreams.
From the ashes, a fire shall be roused, and
Light, too, shall spring out of the shadows.
Today, I shape my lips into smiles, burning to death every tear
whispering to my body:
Look at the light,
Look at all that was black becoming bright.
In a spark,
My wings spread wide from the tip.
My plume and splendor sing swan songs.
The flames blaze high.
At the moment, everything seems frenzy.
This, a story to carry to the next lifetime,
To be told as a past tale of yesterday.
I’ve fought a thousand fights, each time reinventing myself brighter, and stronger than before,
From the midst of darkness, I have become my source of light.
I burn a part of me down to ashes,
to give birth to a new one,
And there, the Phoenix in me, roars
Beautiful and shimmering feathers—,
bright, red, and gold in color, and shining like the sun.
The Phoenix’s wings, made of raging fire,
Its heart, filled with wondering desire,
Its song, beautifully uncommon.
I rise like a Phoenix reborn from the ashes,
For the day it raises, it is the wisdom it has claimed,
Every failure and temper in the fire makes it so much stronger.
When it suffers, it survives.
For a heroine to arise,
A gaseous nebula must collapse,
I collapse,
Crumble,
This is not my destruction,
This is my birth.
I am a rage of flame and heat.
I have risen like a Phoenix.
Risen from weakness.
Arise to fuel my spirit,
Exposing sobriety,
Comforting hands of a care-giver.
I, the voice of courage.
Now, they can’t slay the hope,
It is still alive inside my heart,
It’s all still there,
It was never relinquished.
I burn all the tales of the past,
I rise from the ashes, my body— resuscitating,
I no longer fear the darkness,
Just as the Phoenix rose from the ashes, I too will rise,
No matter how much I’ve been broken,
I, rising and unscathed.
