I’ll die a poem,
A song etched on the lips of mortals
A story ingrained on the hearts of men.
A footprint in the sands of time.
I’ll die a poem,
A symphony of goodness
A metaphor for kindness
An alteration of weakness,
An alliteration of excellence
A consonance of imperfections
But an assonance of daily growth
I’ll die a poem,
A sonnet on my tombstone
And a limerick on my casket
My ghost will haunt anyone who cries at my funeral
Cos who dare desecrate the hallowed hollowed silence that precedes the prologue of poetry personified?
I’ll die a poem,
I’ll die for sure, cos we all will
But the candle of my creativity would go on burning
Blazing on brazen altars everywhere around the continent, where oblation is poured out to competent
communal creativity.
I’ll die a poem!
