WINNING PHOTO- 1ST PRIZE
Time slips through our fingers, yet we chase it relentlessly.
Catching Up with Time captures moments where life and time
intertwine. Each of the three images in this collection features a
clock, symbolizing time’s passage and how our lives depend on
Time. In one, a woman holds a clock as fragments of her form
dissolve, reflecting how life fades as we pursue time’s rhythm.
Inspired by the theme “Frozen in Time,” these photographs
freeze moments, preserving memories that might otherwise
vanish. Through the power of photography, we pause time,
holding onto the moments that define us, holding onto moments
that make us. This collection reminds us to cherish the present,
as time catches up with us all.
Catching up with time has three other parts of the same subject and object, two of the three shots are close-up shots. And they are all creatively depicted. I am more than impressed with the total outcome of the approach and the technique of rendition. For me, this shot is number one, because there is a kind of blissfulness and timelessness in the subject in motion, with the clock telling its own story. And there is the shawl, swirling behind the subject. In this shot, almost all the elements of composition are in harmony.

One of the few magazine-quality images in this competition. Great light and composition.
